Privacy

This is a personal, static website. It sets no cookies, runs no tracking pixels, has no accounts, and sells nothing. What little there is to say is said plainly below.

What this site does not do

Every page is a static HTML file. The site sets no cookies, embeds no tracking pixels, and loads no advertising or social-media scripts. There is nothing to consent to, so there is no consent banner.

Analytics

Analytics, when enabled, uses Cloudflare Web Analytics: a cookieless measurement service that reports aggregate page-view counts only. It stores no personal data, sets no cookies, and builds no profile of any visitor. If it is switched off, as it may be before launch, nothing is measured at all.

Search

The search page (and the search box on the not-found page) loads a small search index of this site into your browser and searches it there. No search request is sent to any server, external or otherwise: what you type never leaves your device.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Netlify, which, like virtually every host, keeps standard server access logs (the IP address and the page requested) for the operation and security of its network. Those logs belong to the hosting layer; this site adds nothing to them and reads nothing from them.

The newsletter

Newsletter signup happens on Substack, a separate service with its own privacy policy. This site never collects or stores email addresses; see the newsletter page.

Contact

Questions about any of this go to the editor, Darren McKenna.
